Information We Collect

Vibecode collects minimal personal information. We may collect the following types of data when you use our app:

  • User-Provided Content: Text prompts and descriptions you enter for AI-powered website generation, and reference images you upload from your camera or photo library.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as advertising ID, subject to your consent), app version, and language preferences.
  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, including features used, session duration, and in-app actions such as project creation and editing.
  • Purchase Information: If you subscribe to our premium plan, transaction records are processed and managed by Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and RevenueCat. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details.
  • Advertising Data: With your consent (via App Tracking Transparency on iOS), we may collect your advertising identifier for the purpose of serving relevant ads and measuring ad performance through Google AdMob and Facebook SDK.
  • Locally Stored Data: Your projects, including generated HTML code, project names, descriptions, message history, and creation/update timestamps, are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • AI Content Generation: Your text prompts and uploaded reference images are sent to the Google Gemini API to generate website code based on your descriptions. This data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy.
  • App Functionality: To provide, maintain, and improve the core features of Vibecode, including project management, code editing, and HTML preview.
  • Advertising: To display advertisements through Google AdMob. With your consent, ads may be personalized based on your interests and activity.

  • Subscription Management: To manage your premium subscription status, verify purchases, and provide access to premium features through RevenueCat.
  • App Updates: To deliver over-the-air updates to improve app performance and fix bugs.
  • Communication: To respond to your inquiries if you contact us via email.

Advertising

Vibecode displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free version of the app. The types of ads shown include:

  • Interstitial Ads: Full-screen ads that may appear at natural transition points within the app.
  • Rewarded Ads: Optional ads that you can choose to watch in exchange for app benefits.

On iOS, we use Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes. You can change your tracking preference at any time in your device's Settings.

Facebook SDK may also be used for ad measurement and attribution. With your consent, the Facebook SDK collects app events and your advertising identifier to deliver relevant ads and measure their effectiveness.

Premium subscribers may enjoy an ad-free experience as part of their subscription benefits.

Camera and Photo Library Access

Vibecode requests access to your device's camera and photo library for the following purposes:

  • Camera Access: To allow you to take photos directly within the app to use as reference images for AI-powered website generation.
  • Photo Library Access: To allow you to select existing images from your photo library to use as reference images for website generation.
  • Photo Library Save: To allow you to save generated content or exported files to your photo library.

Images you provide are converted to base64 format and sent to the Google Gemini API for processing. We do not store your images on any server. They are used solely for the purpose of generating website code based on your reference.

Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information:

  • Local Storage: Your projects, including generated HTML code, project names, descriptions, and message history, are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
  • Data Transmission: When you use AI generation features, your prompts and images are transmitted securely to the Google Gemini API. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit.
  • No User Accounts: Vibecode does not require user registration or login. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles stored on our servers.
  • Payment Security: All payment processing is handled securely by Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and RevenueCat. We never have access to your payment card information.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Tracking and App Tracking Transparency

Vibecode respects your privacy choices regarding tracking:

  • iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT): On iOS 14.5 and later, we display a tracking permission prompt before collecting your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). You may allow or deny this request. If denied, no personalized tracking data is collected for advertising purposes.
  • Advertising Identifier (Android): On Android, the app may access your advertising ID for ad personalization and measurement. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google settings.
  • Facebook SDK: When tracking is permitted, the Facebook SDK may log app events and collect advertising-related identifiers for ad attribution and measurement.
  • SKAdNetwork: On iOS, we use Apple's SKAdNetwork framework for privacy-preserving ad attribution without tracking individual users.

You can change your tracking preferences at any time in your device's privacy settings.
